In the beginning, Mr Jones is quite cruel to the animals so they decide to plot a rebellion against him and the humans. They decide to take over the farm and call it Animal farm where all the animals are equal and have to do the same amount of labour. In the first steps of the book, Old Major passes away so the farm is taken into control by Snowball and Napoleon who both have an ongoing feud between themselves. At first, the farm was supposed to be a communist place, but Napoleon, (who was supposed to be representing Karl Marx, a leader in Russia) decided to take advantage of his power and made sure that he was rich and he was the leader of the farm. When the animals decide to make a windmill, Snowball and Napoleon carry on their argument pay having a feud whether to make it or not.

Freedom for me is for example lying on a big meadow where you can only see the sun and the horizon, because it’s a nice view and it is only freedom when  no one can disturb me.

Meiner Meinung nach, denke ich, dass die Freiheit ist, wenn alle die gleichen Rechte wie andere und kann ihre Gefühle ohne unnötige Ergebnisse in Aktion auszudrücken. Viele Landsleute auf der ganzen Welt, haben nicht die Privilegien, die meisten anderen haben. Gemeinschaften auf der ganzen Welt haben die Gewerkschaften, die Sie in eine Freiheit der Rede zu helfen, und Ihnen die Freiheit, die Sie brauchen. Länder wie Nordkorea haben keine Chance, überhaupt in die Freiheit oder Freiheit der Rede haben.

What is freedom? Freedom to me is when someone is allowed to have a life with: Food, a house to live, education. Everybody should have the right to have these items. That’s what freedom is to me.r

In my opinion, I think that freedom is when everybody has the same rights as others and can express their feelings without any unnecessary results in action. Many fellow citizens around the world, don’t have the privileges that most others have. Communities around the world have unions that help you in having a freedom of speech, and to give you the freedom that you need. Countries such as North Korea haven’t got any chance at all to have freedom or freedom of speech.
